Emirates' online check-in allows you to check in 2-24 hours before your flight departs.
To use online check-in you have to:
- Check in 2-24 hours before your flight is scheduled to depart.
- You are departing from an airport that allows online check-in
- You are not a special needs passenger.
Make sure you leave enough time at the airport to get through security, check your bags, etc. If you have bags to check, you can use online check-in, but will have to drop your bags at an Emirates Online Desk at the airport before the cut-off time. When you use online check-in you can change or select your seat.
If you are checking baggage, Emirates recommends you arrive at the airport 90 minutes before your flight's departure time. If you are not checking baggage, Emirates recommends you arrive at the airport 60 minutes before your flight's departure time. If not using online check-in, Emirates recommends that Economy Class passengers arrive at the 3 hours before your flight's departure time. If not using online check-in, Emirates recommends that First and Business Class passengers arrive at the 1 hour before your flight's departure time. Passengers must be in the boarding area 35 minutes before the scheduled departure time and gates will close 15 minutes prior to departure.

Children under 2 years (24 months), are not required to have their own seat. You can also choose to purchase a seat for your infant as long as you have the proper child restraint device. Economy Class Allowance: 1 Carry-On - Maximum Dimensions of Carry-on Luggage: 22in x 15in x 8in/55cm x 38cm x 20cm - Maximum Weight of Carry-on Luggage: 15 lb/7 kg First and Business Class Allowance: 1 Carry-On + 1 Briefcase or Garment Bag - Maximum Dimensions of Carry-on Luggage: 22in x 15in x 8in/55cm x 38cm x 20cm - Maximum Dimensions of Briefcase: 18in x 14in x 8in/4 cm x 35cm x 20cm - Maximum Dimensions of Garment Bag (when folded): 8 in/20 cm) - Maximum Combines Weight of Carry-on: 26 lb/12 kg Passengers traveling to/from the U.S: - Checked baggage Allowance: 2 pieces - Maximum Dimensions: 62 linear inches/157 cm - Maximum Weight for Economy Class Passengers: 50 lb/23 kg - Maximum Weight for Economy Class Passengers: 70 lb/32 kg Passengers traveling to other destinations can contact Emirates. Fee for any bag weighing between 50-70 pounds (23kgs-32kgs): $25 USD. Bag weighing over 70 pounds/32 kg will not be accepted.
