Cathay Pacific's Web Check-in allows you to check in 24-48 hours before your flight departs. To use Online Check-in you have to: - Check-in 90 minutes-48 hours before your flight is scheduled to depart if you are a Club/Asia Miles member or you have purchased a ticket from the Cathay website. - Check-in 90 minutes-24 hours before your flight is scheduled to depart if you have an electronic ticket. - You are not traveling on a codeshare flight. - You are not departing from one of the following locations: Bahrain, Colombo, Xiamen, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) or Langkawi. - You are not a special needs passenger. Make sure you leave enough time at the airport to get through security, check your bags etc. If you have bags to check, you can use Online Check-in but will have to drop your bags at a Cathay Pacific Check-in counter at the airport before the cut-off time. When you use Online Check-in you can change or select your seat.
If you plan to check in at the airport Cathay Pacific recommends you arrive at the airport 2 hours before your flight is scheduled to depart. - If you are departing from Hong Hong, you are required to have your boarding pass at least 45 minutes before your flight's scheduled departure time. - If you are departing from North America or Riyadh, you must have your boarding pass at least 60 minutes prior to departure. - If you are departing from Dubai, you must have your boarding pass at least 75 minutes prior to flight departure.

All carry-on luggage adhere to the following requirements: - Maximum Dimensions of Carry-on Luggage: 22in x 14in x 9in/56cm x 36cm x 23cm - Maximum Weight of Carry-on Luggage for Economy Class passengers: 15 lb/7 kg - Maximum Weight of Carry-on Luggage for Business Class passengers: 22 lb/10 kg - Maximum Weight of Carry-on Luggage for First Class passengers: 33 lb/15 kg All First and Business Class passengers can also bring one 1 garment or soft bag not more than 8in/20cm thick. If traveling to/from Central, North or South America each passenger is allowed 2 checked bags as long as each bag adheres to the below requirements: - Maximum Dimensions: 62 linear inches/157 cm - Maximum Weight: 70 lb/32 kg If traveling to/from any destination other than the Americas each passenger must adhere to the below requirements: - Baggage Allowance: None (2 pieces preferred) - Maximum Dimensions: 62 linear inches/157 cm - Maximum Weight for Economy Class passengers: 44 lb/20 kg - Maximum Weight for Business Class passengers: 66 lb/30 kg - Maximum Weight for First Class passengers: 88 lb/44 kg If you have more bags than the permitted allowance or your bags exceed the weight or linear restrictions, you will be charged additional fees, please contact Cathay Pacific for more information. Any single bag weighing over 70 pounds/32 kg will not be accepted.
